Birth Defects Prevention Month 2002
December 2001

Greetings:

January is Birth Defects Prevention Month!

It is our pleasure to provide you with materials for Birth Defects Prevention Month, which were developed by the Education Committee of the National Birth Defects Prevention Network (NBDPN).

We hope you can use the materials for your own work and as you work with others to increase awareness of birth defects prevention and services, including support for families. We are interested in knowing the usefulness of the materials and how you are using them; please complete the evaluation form (MS Word).

We would like to acknowledge the dedicated group of individuals who spent many hours developing these materials. A special thanks goes to Pat McDonald, MD; Jackie Wynne, CA; Janice Bach, MI; Jane Simmermon, MI; Linda Jackson, AR; Civillia Winslow Hill, WA; Denise Higgins, MT; Mary Knapp, NJ; Bill Moore, TX; Cynthia Fulton, AR; Sarina Kopinsky, CO; Carla Becker, NE; C. David Godwin, TX; and the CDC staff. If you have any questions about any of these materials, you may contact Civillia Winslow Hill at (360) 236-3518, civillia.hill@doh.was.gov, or Cara Mai at (404) 498-3918, cwm7@cdc.gov. Thank you in advance for your support in promoting January as Birth Defects Prevention Month.

Sincerely,

Mark Canfield, President, NBDPN                                                                                                  Civillia Winslow Hill, Education Committee Chair, NBDPN
