The National Birth Defects Prevention Network (NBDPN) will hold its 21st Annual Meeting from March 11-14, 2018 at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, GA.

CDC Grantee Meetings (CBDRP and State Birth Defects Surveillance)
A variety of plenary and breakout sessions is scheduled to appeal to a diverse audience and cover birth defects surveillance, research, and prevention issues. Featured sessions include:
- Birth Defects Surveillance Systems Respond to Emerging Public Health Issues
- Disorders of Sexual Development: Embryology and Fetal Development, Epidemiology, & Prenatal Diagnosis
- Electronic Health Records and Informatics
- Multi-state Data Collaborative Projects
- Impact of Coding Changes to Birth Defects Surveillance
- Quality Evaluation and Improvement of Birth Defects Surveillance Data
- NBDPS Research Projects
- Critical Congenital Heart Defects
- Substance Exposed Newborns
Also on the agenda are sessions designed to encourage information sharing and networking, such as poster presentations and exhibits. On Sunday, March 11, 2018, we will offer two concurrent hands-on training opportunities focusing on scientific writing and medical record abstraction.
Call for Poster Abstracts

. The deadline for poster submission is January 26, 2018.
The Conference Poster Committee will review the abstracts and notify submitters no later than February 2, 2018 of their acceptance. If you submit an abstract earlier, you will receive notice of acceptance earlier. Changes can be submitted after the January 26, 2018 initial submission deadline. A final abstract will be due no later than Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

Meeting registration (on or before February 26, 2018) is $300. Registration after February 26, 2018 will be $350. Registration for one-day attendees is $100. The pre-meeting training is an additional $50. There is a $25 cancellation fee if the cancellation occurs before February 26, 2018. Barring unforeseen circumstances, no refunds will be issued after this date.
