NBDPN Annual Meeting
2009
The National Birth Defects Prevention Network
(NBDPN) will hold its 12th Annual Meeting at the Hilton
Nashville Downtown Hotel in Nashville, TN from February 23-25,
2009. A variety of
plenary and breakout sessions is scheduled to appeal to a diverse
audience and cover birth defects surveillance, research, and prevention
issues. Featured sessions include:
- Defects of the head and neck, including embryology
from Dr. Sadler
- Research agenda and emerging issues of the
National Birth Defects Prevention Study
- Obesity: patterns among women of child-bearing
age and risk factor for birth defects
- ART and birth defects
- Experiences of remote access to EMR
Also on the agenda are sessions designed to encourage
information sharing and networking, such as poster presentations
and exhibits. On February 22, 2009, we'll offer a hands-on class
focusing on preparing research results for the literature.
Early-bird registration (on or before Friday,
January 9, 2009) is $200. Registration after January 9, 2009
will be $225. The hands-on class is an additional $50.00.
A block of rooms at the Hilton Nashville Downtown
has been reserved at the 2009 federal per diem rate of $117/night
and occupancy taxes (15.25% + $2/room). To make a reservation,
