REGISTRATION
The National Birth Defects Prevention Network (NBDPN) will hold its 15th Annual Meeting jointly with the National Birth Defects Prevention Study (NBDPS). This collaborative meeting is schedule from February 27-29, 2012 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/waspy-renaissance-arlington-capital-view-hotel) in Arlington, VA.
A variety of plenary and breakout sessions is scheduled to appeal to a diverse audience and cover birth defects surveillance, research, and prevention issues. Featured sessions include:
• Chromosome Abnormalities, including fetal development, diagnosis, syndrome review, prenatal diagnostic testing and ultrasonography
• Electronic Health Records and Innovative Informatics
• Critical Congenital Heart Defects
• ICD-10 Coding
• Multi-state Collaborative Projects
• NBDPS research projects
• Collaboration with Parents and Partners
Also on the agenda are sessions designed to encourage information sharing and networking, such as poster presentations and exhibits. On February 26, 2011, a pre-meeting training on spatial analysis of birth defects data will be offered at the George Washington University.
Meeting registration (on or before February 20, 2012) is $275. Registration after February 20th will be $300. The pre-meeting workshop on spatial analysis is an additional $50. The NBDPS Coordinating Council meeting (invitation only) is $50.
A block of rooms at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel has been reserved at the prevailing federal per diem rate, currently $181/night plus occupancy taxes (10.25%).
